James Shin Hoo: He is on the fatter side, and he is old. He is married to Madame Hoo, who works in his kitchen. He is an authentic Chinese restaurateur, and later on a footwear business man. He sued Sam Westing, because he thought that Sam Westing stole his idea, and that is his possible motive to kill Sam Westing. There is no incriminating evidence though.
Madame Hoo: She is young, and she wants to go back to her country. She is married Mr. Hoo, and she is a cook in his kitchen. Her possible motive to kill Sam Westing is to go back to her country, but the incriminating evidence is that she is the robber.
Doug Hoo: He is Chinese like his father(Mr. Hoo), and is very athletic. Later on he is an Olympic gold runner, and he has no possible motive or incriminating evidence.
